INTERVIEW WITH EARL "TRUSTY ED" JENKINSReported December 12, 1996 [The following transcript represents a grave danger to the life of the author, should it be traced back to him. For this reason, he remains... confidential... Some translations are provided in brackets by the editor.]
Well, I reck'n twuz 'bout 15 miles from here, over yonder by the hinky part o' Suvillan's Crick [ed- Sullivan's Creek). There'uz these fellers, all dressed in unnofficial blue combat BDUs, er Baddle Dressin' Uniferm [ed- Battle Dress Uniforms] , if'n yer unfamilar with'em. They wuz all jes' singin' these songs, these furn [ed- foreign] songs, so's I knew they wuz from the UN Invasion Force. I reck'n they wuz singin' 'bout puttin' Merkans [ed- Americans] in prizzun camps, 'cuz I heared the words "hokey" & "pokey", which means jail, if'n ya di'n't know that. Couldn't unnerstan' the rest of it, though- weird, furn words like "Leffootin'" an' "Leffoodoud" an' "shakeidallaboud". Worst part is, they wuz mostly kids, with some guy wearin' them funny pants that stop right 'round the knee. Not shorts, not pants, what the hell are they? But he wuz the worst- runnin' 'round, encouragin' the kids, leadin' the songs, and jes' gen'rally carryin' on. I got the hell out o' there, figgerin' I'd best warn others. Nobody seems ta listen ta me, though- they all think I'm crazy. [possibly a new branch of the UN Forces, their "Youth Corps" or "Boutros-Boutros Youth"]. Well... they all wore these yellah scarfs 'round their necks, tied like sissies, hangin' over their shoulders. I seem ta recall it had some sort of bear or other European aminal [ed- animal] on the back, prob'ly as a way o' recognizin' each other in public. All kinda weird badges and medals, too- prob'ly fer each Merkan they done killed, I reck'n. That's pretty much it, near as I can 'member. From: ???
