UN Commandos Boldy Strike Smalltown IowaReported April 29, 1997
I stopped by to take a closer look. One of the men approached me and claimed to from the Iowa Dept of Natural Resources. He said that they were performing a routine wildlife inspection on the bridge -- counting Spotted Owls. I was a little suspicious when I pulled away. I knew that the man's English was way too good to be an American. Also, I noticed that the vehicle parked underneath the bridge was black and didn't have DNR markings on it (or any other markings at all). I was about 7 miles away (at approximately 07:00), when I saw a huge fireball from the direction of the overpass. I drove back to see that an explosion had engulfed the town's only fast food restaurant and seasoned outbound overpass; Interstate - I 380.
Obviously, these men that I saw were UN commando units pretending to be performing a routine inspection on the bridge. Is nothing sacred? How can this be so blantant yet and so withheld from the media? Somebody has got to do something. I plan to eat more often at the nearest remaining Taco Bell to help our cause. Ricko R.
